Directors

James Darroch

James has over 25 years of experience in the IT, Electronic Automation and Security markets.

In 1989 – with his partner John Glennie – they established FSA Distribution, a leading distributor of IT hardware within Southern Africa. In 2001 he started DCS Security which has now become the largest ADT Authorised Dealer in South Africa. In addition he is involved in other aspects of the Security Industry including CCTV surveillance cameras and monitoring.

James’ track record is strong with a high success rate. He has an ability to inspire and is a proven sales expert.

John Glennie Bcomm CIMA, PhD

John is a successful entrepreneur with over a 27 year track record in building and developing a diverse range of business enterprises, ranging from a technology business through to property development company. John has navigated each enterprise from start-up through to exit. During this period he has accumulated vast experience in strategy, finance, marketing and logistics. At various times his roles have included CEO, CFO and Executive Chairman of both private and publicly listed companies. 

Having now relocated to the UK from South Africa, John continues to expand his business interests through investment and personal involvement. As a PhD in hypnotherapy, John not only has a successful business track record, but also has an applied knowledge of psychology, which enables him to add value to any business team far beyond the analytical business process.

Byron Darroch Bcomm, PDEM

Byron has several years experience in the retail and financial markets. Having created his first succesful retail company straight out of University, he has strong entrepreneurial skills, that are put to good use in this dynamic market. 

As the Sales Director of RentFin, he is excited to grow RentFin into a major rental financing company in the South African market. Byron believes in offering a high quality service that pays attention to the detail and offers good value to the customer.
